Thursday, March 10, 2016 - "Gender As A Fluid Concept: How to Support LGBT Students" - According to a recent Human Rights Campaign survey, LGBT students report being harassed at school - both verbally and physically - at twice the rate of non-LGBT youth. With heightened stressors like bullying, harassment and a lack of role models, LGBT students are also more likely to experience negative educational outcomes. In this workshop, learn the difference between gender and biological sex, how to use correct pronouns to support our youth, and become an ally.
